Knowledge-Oriented Leadership

Produktinformationen "Knowledge-Oriented Leadership"

Integrating knowledge management into everyday leadership practice, strengthening resilience and agility – shaping teams and organizations for the future

Capturing and transferring knowledge is increasingly becoming a decisive competitive factor for companies. Yet in most cases, knowledge is managed in some way, sometimes specific individuals are appointed to be responsible for it, or knowledge management is delegated to the HR department. However, in day-to-day operations, dealing with knowledge often plays only a minor role – frequently with serious consequences.
This book integrates knowledge management into everyday leadership practice, links it to specific leadership responsibilities, and provides guidance on how to leverage knowledge as a strategic resource. At its core is a holistic, field-tested framework that offers structured orientation and is illustrated through numerous case studies, assessment tools, and templates. Almost incidentally, the book also demonstrates how to take the step toward building a learning organization.

- Recognizing knowledge management as a core leadership responsibility
- Provides pracitcal solutions to real-world leadership challenges
- Addresses current trends such as AI, digitalization, New Work, and hybrid work
- Includes an extensive practical section: tools, checklists, and workshop designs ready for immediate implementation

“Practical, immensely helpful for leaders, accessible and exactly at the right time: The understanding of leadership roles and responsibilities is currently undergoing profound change in order to meet increasingly complex demands in times of great uncertainty and constant transformation. This book is an outstanding companion for leaders who no longer want to merely manage the most important resource of the future – knowledge – but actively and collaboratively shape it. With its compelling seven dimensions of knowledge-oriented leadership, its very clear structure, and the many useful tools and templates for immediate application, it is a real asset for anyone seeking to meet the evolving expectations placed on leadership.” (Christine Erlach, Narrata Consult)
