Error on page 266
The formula 1/(1+E0/Eb) equation (8.10) page 266 should be1/(1+Ec/Eb) where Ec is the Compression modulus calculated in the equations 8.7 or 8.8. Otherwise the curves in figure 8.4 do not converge towards the Eb limit. This is normally ignored unless the ratio of Ec/Eb exceeds 10%

We very much value error reports from readers, and would certainly make the necessary corrections in the next edition, should we publish one.
